Arena Of Khazan T&T solo

ADD TO WISHLIST >

Note: This solo is for ANY level character of ANY kindred. Wanna adventure for your 21st level Were-Dragon?  Here ya go!

Khazan, capital city of the Empire of Khazan is also sometimes known as the City of  Death. It takes its name and reputation from its ruler Lerotra’hh the Death Empress  of Khazan. Khazan was founded and built by a mighty wizard of the same name.  It flourished under his benevolent rule for 666 years until it was attacked by the Orcish  and Trollish hordes of Lerotra’hh. Khazan is one of the largest cities on the continent  of Rrr’lff with a sizable population of Orcs, Trolls, Ogres, Dwarves, and other beings  generally considered as Monsters by the human inhabitants of such places as Khosht.   But the reign of terror has mellowed over the years until now most of the bloodletting takes place in the Arena.  This new edition includes new dT&T options, more art, pre-rolled opponents and pre-rolled characters you can use, along with a full-color map of the Trollworld and  the City of Khazan.

This Deluxe Tunnels & Trolls solitaire is open to all types and levels of individual characters, whether elf, dwarf or minotaur, wizard rogue or warrior. Just remember, the more you fight in the arena, the tougher will be the foes sent against you! 60 pages of adventure

Peter Laird, the Co-Creator and artist for the Mutant Ninja Turtles did almost all the Interior Illustrations for this solo. Marvel artist Gene Day did the cover. Grimtooth's Traps & dT&T artist Steve Crompton did all the graphics, drew some illustrations and maps for this book as well. The solo is written by legendary T&T creator Ken St Andre.

All of the interior art is of a low-res quality, with plenty of visible pixellation and background artefacts. Any genuine reason for this?

I don't understand how that is the case. I just looked at the version I sent to Drive-thru and it looks fine. I wonder if Drive-thru down-sized it or if your computer is not fully compatible with the version of the pdf we uploaded? Did anyone else have this problem? Let us know.

I've downloaded the pdf again and then tried it in 3 different pdf viewers – same result each time. Nothing I've previously purchased from DTRPG has appeared 'down-sized', so I'd doubt that anything like that is actually occurring.

I'll see if I can upload another version. Don't understand how it looks bad once it gets to the other end. I spent weeks cleaning up all the art from the original scans.

It looks fine to me, I've zoomed right in and can see no pixelation.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
